Al-Afsah is an immersive course designed for Urdu-speaking individuals passionate about deepening their understanding of the linguistic beauty in the Qur'an and the profound eloquence found in the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). This course delves into the unique linguistic nuances of the Prophet’s (ﷺ) words, as preserved in the renowned collection of Al-Arba’een by the esteemed 7th-century Hijri scholar, Imam Abu Zakariya Muhiyuddin An-Nawawi. Through close analysis and contextual exploration, participants will gain insights into the timeless wisdom and rhetorical mastery embodied in these sacred texts.

Curriculum

This course centres on Imam An-Nawawi’s celebrated Hadith collection, Al-Arba'een, a compilation of forty concise yet profound sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) that convey essential principles of faith, character, and ethics. Each Hadith in this collection provides invaluable insights into Islam's moral and spiritual dimensions, embodying timeless wisdom and guidance for personal development.

Through this curriculum, students will explore the linguistic elegance and rhetorical mastery of the Prophet’s (ﷺ) words, gaining a deeper appreciation for the eloquence and structure of Classical Arabic. Each Hadith will be carefully analyzed regarding its linguistic form, historical context, and spiritual message.
